Project workflow

From project brief to production review

The exact workflow depends on the tree and site conditions, but bespoke projects generally move through four practical stages.

01

Share the brief

Send tree references, target dimensions, site information and any available drawings or renders.

02

Review tree form

Confirm the overall silhouette, canopy proportion, trunk direction and key project requirements.

03

Confirm production details

Review structure, surface finish, foliage direction and other relevant production details.

04

Plan assembly and installation

Review sectional construction, access conditions and installation support for the final site.

Craftsmanship

How custom tree trunks are formed and finished

Production details show how trunk structure, surface build-up and colour finishing are developed for project-specific artificial trees.

Finishing

Spray-coloured trunk finish

Layered colour is applied to build variation, depth and realistic bark character across the trunk surface.

CNC machining equipment used during mould production for custom artificial tree trunks
Mould preparation

CNC machining for mould production

CNC machining supports the preparation of mould components for selected project-specific trunk forms.

Finishing

Manual bark colouring

Bark colour is applied by hand in multiple layers to develop texture, tonal variation and depth.

Fiberglass layering process used to form a bespoke artificial tree trunk
Build-up

Fiberglass layering

Layered fiberglass over the internal structure forms the trunk volume and outer shell.

Mould

Project-specific trunk mould

A project-specific form can be developed when the required trunk profile falls outside standard ranges.

Performance options

Optional UV and fire-performance routes

Selected configurations can be reviewed with UV-resistant or fire-performance foliage options when required by the project environment.

FAQ

Questions before requesting a quotation

What information should we send for a bespoke tree enquiry?

Share the preferred tree type, approximate height and canopy, installation environment, site dimensions and any reference images, renders or drawings available.

Can large trees be designed in sections for site access?

Sectional construction can be reviewed when access, transport or installation conditions require the tree to be assembled on site.

Is installation support available?

Installation requirements can be discussed during project planning. The appropriate level of assembly guidance or on-site support depends on the project and installation conditions.

Can we review material or bark samples before approval?

Sample review can be discussed where colour, bark texture or surface finish needs to be checked before a larger project moves forward.
