Oakco at the 139th Canton Fair 2026

In 2026, Oakco joined the 139th Canton Fair to meet international buyers and present our approach to custom artificial trees and commercial greenery projects.

At booth 7.1D33–34, our team welcomed visitors working across hospitality, retail, resorts, commercial landscaping, and project procurement. Rather than presenting artificial greenery as a collection of isolated products, we used the exhibition space to show how trees, flowering elements, palms, and supporting plants can work together as one complete environment.

The fair also created an opportunity to discuss the practical requirements behind each project, from dimensions and visual direction to material performance, transportation, and installation support.

Understanding Different Commercial Applications

Visitors came to the Oakco booth with different applications in mind. Some were looking for large statement trees for hotel lobbies, while others were planning tropical landscapes for resorts, waterparks, restaurants, retail spaces, or outdoor leisure areas.

These projects may use similar product categories, but their requirements are rarely the same. An artificial tree designed for a hotel interior needs to respond to ceiling height, circulation, fire-performance requirements, and the surrounding finishes. An outdoor palm tree may need a different structure, foliage specification, base system, and installation method.

Face-to-face conversations allowed our team to understand the intended environment before discussing a product direction. This is important because the most suitable solution begins with the space and the project conditions, not with a standard catalogue model.

Discussing Custom Artificial Tree Requirements

Many visitors brought reference images, dimensions, sketches, or an initial design concept. These materials helped conversations move from general product interest to specific project questions.

Common discussion points included tree height, canopy diameter, trunk form, foliage density, colour direction, structural support, site access, and delivery destination.

For larger artificial trees, we also discussed whether the structure should be divided into modular sections to make international transportation and on-site assembly more practical.

The goal was not to make every decision at the exhibition. It was to identify the information needed for Oakco to develop a realistic proposal after the fair.

What Oakco Presented

Custom Artificial Trees and Commercial Greenery

Oakco presented a layered display combining large artificial trees, palms, flowering trees, foliage, and decorative planting. The booth demonstrated how different greenery elements can be coordinated to create depth, focal points, and a stronger sense of place.

For commercial projects, customization may involve more than changing the height of a tree. The relationship between the trunk, branches, canopy, and surrounding planting determines whether the final composition feels balanced within the architecture.

Our team explained how these elements can be developed according to a project brief, including adjustments to scale, silhouette, foliage distribution, bark texture, colour, and modular construction.

Project Performance and Installation Considerations

Visual appearance was only one part of the discussion. Buyers also wanted to understand how an artificial landscape would perform in its intended environment and how it would be delivered to the project site.

For commercial interiors, conversations included suitable PyroLeaf™ fire-performance options based on the project requirements.

For outdoor and semi-outdoor applications, we discussed HelioLeaf™ outdoor UV options, exposure conditions, structural stability, and long-term appearance.

Large artificial trees also require early installation planning. Ceiling clearance, doorway dimensions, lifting access, base fixing, assembly sequence, and final canopy adjustment can all influence the product design.

Addressing these details before production helps reduce uncertainty after the products arrive on site.

What Buyers Wanted to Understand

Can the Product Be Customized for the Space?

Commercial spaces often require specific proportions that cannot be achieved with a standard product.

Buyers wanted to know whether tree height, canopy width, trunk direction, foliage density, and colour could be adjusted to match drawings or visual references.

Oakco reviews these requirements as one complete composition. This helps ensure that the finished tree is not only impressive on its own but also appropriately scaled for the surrounding architecture.

Which Performance Route Is Appropriate?

Different locations create different technical priorities.

A public interior may focus on fire performance, while an exposed outdoor site may need stronger UV performance and a structure designed for local environmental conditions.

Our discussions at the fair focused on identifying the application first, then recommending a material and structural route that fits the project. This avoids treating one specification as suitable for every environment.

What Support Continues After Product Selection?

For international projects, selecting the product is only one stage.

Buyers also asked about sampling, drawings, production communication, packing, shipping, and installation guidance.

Oakco supports the process from initial project review through custom production and delivery preparation. Depending on the scale and complexity of the project, this may include material samples, visual confirmation, modular design, factory pre-assembly, component labelling, packing plans, and installation instructions.

From Trade Show Conversations to Project Development

After the Canton Fair, the next step is to turn the initial conversations into clear project briefs.

This normally begins with the project location, application, dimensions, reference images, quantity, performance expectations, and timeline.

Once these details are available, our team can review the visual and technical requirements, recommend an appropriate solution, and prepare the next stage of development.

For custom artificial tree projects, early communication is especially valuable. Decisions about scale, structure, and installation are connected, and resolving them together creates a more practical path from design concept to completed space.

What We Take Forward

The 139th Canton Fair was more than a product exhibition for Oakco. It was a chance to listen to buyers, understand how commercial greenery is being used in different markets, and identify the project information that matters most during early planning.

The conversations reinforced the importance of combining visual design with technical planning. A successful artificial landscape needs the right proportions and atmosphere, but it also needs suitable materials, practical construction, careful packing, and clear installation support.

Oakco will continue using these insights to improve how we support international commercial projects—from the first reference image and project discussion to production, delivery, and final installation.
